Born and raised in the Bay Area in California, I moved with my family to Africa when I was 14. After a few stops in Mauritania and Kenya, I set my luggage down in Paris in 2002.
As I arrived in Paris my love for the moving pictures brought me to study cinema for a couple of years with my specialty being movie editing. I also learned photoshop during my education and a bit of lightroom. After a few small jobs in the TV industry filming and editing concerts among other things, I ended up doing something completely different. I've been working for a training company since 2007.
Mid 2019, before a 3 week trip to Guatemala, my girlfriend and I decided to buy a camera. The Lumix GX80. I haven't put it down since :D
I shoot mostly what I want at the moment although what I prefer is street photography. I spend most of my free time wandering around Paris looking for interesting characters, beautifully lit scenes, and always taken candidly.
I started out shooting mainly Black & White and with Covid slowly creeping in, I mostly stuck to my neighborhood, Montmartre. What a great place to discover a new craft ! However, since I also love to travel, images taken during my travels will appear here as well.
I currently have no intentions of making photography a profession, but who knows what opportunities may arise in the next few years ;)
