A Perfect Storm
Caught at the end of a very wet walk in Montmartre. And also a night where I was almost mugged. It was raining, very few people were out and about, so I was a pretty nice prey there with my camera dangling around my neck. Lucky for me  I saw the bad guy coming and adjusted my pace accordingly.
I was actually on my way home and quite anxious to get there when I snapped this one. This is near Place du Tertre which is usually bustling with life. While passing by I saw this person walk down the street. Because of the wind (or thanks to the wind), they had a peculiar gait. So I stopped and clicked a quick one. Since I had my camera under my coat after the near-mugging, I wasn't expecting much, thinking that the lens was all fogged up and that my timing was off. Turns out I timed it perfectly, and the lens was pretty much spotless. I really like this shot.
It's Raining Frogs
This was, I'm pretty sure, one of very first photo walks with "street photography" in mind. And for sure my first in the rain. I was posted under a shop canopy keeping my camera dry snapping away at pretty much every umbrella when all of a sudden this smiling frog passed right in front of me. I left the protection of the canopy and followed them for a minute or two clicking a total of 5 times. I'm quite happy with most of them, but I believe this one was framed almost perfectly (in my humble opinion) with a fun subject and a beautiful background showing the Sacré-Coeur and the Saint-Michel statue in the top right. It has this timeless feel which I really enjoy.
Hanging From a Wire
Shot from the bottom of Garreau street. The hanging shoes were the one item I knew I'd get for sure, I just had to wait for an interesting silhouette to walk by. Got about a dozen but the one chosen is without a doubt the best. The guy was walking away and turned his capped head just as I pressed the shutter button. And cherry on top, the pigeon flew by and flapped his wings perfectly. Luck I tell you :)
